Wow, how time flies!!! Isaac is 4 months old today, March 6,2009. Can you believe it, I sure cannot. It seems like the time has just flown by. But Isaac is at such a fun age right now. He is learning different things everyday.
Today we went to the doctor for his 4 month check up. He weighs 14 lbs 11 ozs...can we say Chunky Monkey! And he is 26 in long and Dr. Readinger said he still has a pretty large head! Ha! But I know by 4 months they are supposed to double in weight and he has doubled so I am not worried at all. Everyone always talked about how little he was when he was born...well not anymore!
I just recently started him on cereal with fruit...and he loves it...that is probably where the 14 lbs came into play...ha! So now we get our cereal and fruit 2 times a day. And he is now eating 8 ozs of formula every 3 hours...another reason for the 14 lbs. He is already wearing 6-9 month clothing in shirts and he is wearing 3-6 month clothing in bottoms. So he is going to have a big belly with a tiny hiny...runs in the family!
His personality is really starting to shine through. He for sure loves his mommy and daddy the best. Especially mommy...haha! But he really needs his sleep, I think he takes after me in this category b/c if he is sleepy you do not want to mess with him. He is sleeping now about 9 hours during the night. From about 10 pm til 8 am, so mommy is very blessed! I am trying to get him to roll over, but the lazy bum just does not want to do it. B/c I am supposed to have him on his tummy every day for tummy time and he HATES it! He just wants mommy to hold him all of the time. But he is starting to scoot when he lays on his back b/c he just starts kicking those legs...those chubby legs. And he is starting to laugh out loud. It is hilarious...the time comes and goes. He doesn't laugh at the same things all of the time. So you usually have to catch in a time right after he has eaten but once you have triggered that little tickle box then he just takes off. It is so funny.
But our little man is growing so fast, it kind of makes me sad to think that he is not a newborn anymore. But I know the fun stages are upon us and around the corner and I am so excited to watch him grow. He has grown so fast. I love getting to spoil him in the nursery. He's such a sweetie! My favorite picture is the one of you and Jacob kissing him. So sweet!
